چکیده

Abstract Uranium (U) is formed by the interaction of groundwater in aquifer and surrounding rocks. The area chosen for this study a hard rock terrain various lithology South India, which releases U affect quality. Hence, was conducted to understand geochemistry temporal variations with respect saturation state minerals different seasons namely Pre-monsoon (PRM), Northeast monsoon (NEM), Southwest (SWM) Post-monsoon (POM). A total 216 samples were collected, representing (Fissile hornblende biotite gneiss, Charnockite, Quartzite, Granite Flood Plain Alluvium) area. collected analyzed physical parameters such as Electrical conductivity, Total dissolved solids, pH major ions. measured using Laser Fluorimeter. infers that weathering SWM, ion exchange PRM POM anthropogenic process NEM three processes could dominate hydrogeochemistry U. higher concentration has been highlighted, water–rock studied know sources origin it plotted through bivariate ternary diagrams. index made calculated uranium, carbonate, sulfate, silicate phosphate PHREEQC Programme. Uraninite Coffinite are dominant saturated states tend attain near irrespective seasons. With increase seasons, noticed also increasing. Overall, lithological impact their occurring outcome will help policy makers sustainable management safeguard resource region.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Mitigating uranium in groundwater: prospects and limitations.

Removal of uranium(VI) by zerovalent iron has been suggested as a feasible pathway to control uranium contaminations in seepage waters. Available information in the literature however presents discrepant evidence on the process responsible for the mitigation effect. On basis of an EH-pH diagram of uranium and iron, it is outlined that these discrepancies may be explained by the aqueous chemistr...
